(The Romsey Advertiser) – CARE QUALITY COMMISSION

Staff at Romsey Dental Care in Station Road are celebrating an excellent report from their inspection by the Care Quality Commission, the government body which now monitors standards in dental practices as well as care homes. The practice is one of the first in the area to have the rigorous four and a half hour inspection and practice owner, Samantha Price says that the team were delighted with the results, commenting:

“This is a very rigorous inspection that all dental practices will now have to undergo – the idea is that the public can find out easily what standards of care and safety have been found, ranging from patient care, cleanliness and cross infection control to staff support. Whilst we are already a member of the BDA Good Practice Scheme which regularly checks we are up-to-date with all the current legislation, the CQC inspection was very detailed and far ranging and we think it’s a good initiative”
